Located in NYC’s landmark Carnegie Mansion, the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum houses one of the most diverse and comprehensive collections of design work in existence. Originally created in the late 19th-century by sisters Sarah and Eleanor Hewitt, the museum’s collection is now comprised of over 210,000 objects collected from around the world and spanning thirty centuries. Making Design: Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum Collections brings these objects to readers both near and far, featuring full-color photos of more than 1,100 collection objects selected by the museum’s curatorial staff. All kinds of items await in these pages, from textiles, wallpapers, architectural blueprints, patterns and furniture to clothing, dishes, home appliances, vintage posters, book covers, paper fans and so much more. Interspersed throughout these images are fifty-four illuminating essays, most of which were written by members of the Cooper Hewitt staff, which weave parallel narratives throughout.   • WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY — Your order will be shipped to a local delivery company, who will contact you to set up a delivery date and time. They will unwrap, inspect, assemble and place your item in your home. Arrives in 2-3 weeks.
  • LOCAL DELIVERY — Your order will be delivered by our Chicagoland delivery team, we will contact you to set up a delivery appointment. They will unwrap, inspect, assemble and place your item in your home.

Return Policy

Non-furniture Merchandise
All books, candles, plants and bath products are final sale. All other non-furniture items can be returned for a full refund, as long as they are returned within either 30 days of purchase if bought in store or 30 days after the order was received if bought on our website. We will inspect the returned item(s) and issue a refund to the same credit card used for original purchase. You will receive a confirmation email once we have processed your credit. All shipping charges are non-refundable and will be deducted from your refund.


In-stock Furniture Items

We accept returns of furniture in its original condition when you contact us within 14 days of receiving your item. To receive a full refund, call us at 800.472.1885 or email us at returns@jaysonhome.com. We will arrange to have the item(s) picked up by a local freight company, who will contact you to coordinate pick up. Once returned to our warehouse, we will inspect your item(s) and issue a refund accordingly. Damage or other conditional issues may require deductions from your refund. All shipping charges are non-refundable and will be deducted from your refund.


Closeout Merchandise

Closeout items purchased on our website can be returned for store credit only, as long as we receive your item(s) within 30 days of the original delivery. Once we have received and inspected the returned item(s), we will issue your store credit via email. All shipping charges are non-refundable and will be deducted from your store credit.
