We’ve loved every Astier de Villatte scent we’ve ever sniffed, but the French perfume house has really blown us away with their Trois Parfums Historiques Discovery Set. Time travel in a bottle, each sample-sized perfume in this trio is based on an ancient fragrance that was lost to the ages — that is, until it was rediscovered by anthropologist and perfume historian Annick Le Guérer. After pouring over archaic texts and records for over two decades, Le Guérer uncovered the ingredients and fragrance notes that once made up many of the mythic scents of the past. She then shared this research with star perfumer Dominique Ropion, who, with his impressive nose and the support of Astier, brought each bygone fragrance back to life. (All while staying as faithful as possible to their original formulas!) You’ll find the first three products of their genius collaboration in this set — Le Dieu Bleu, a take on the rich, mysterious kyphi incense once burned during ancient Egyptian rituals and healing practices; Artaban, the royal perfume of ancient Rome made from herbs imported from all around the empire; and Les Nuit, an exact recreation of the very perfume once worn by French Romantic-era novelist George Sand. But don’t worry about explaining all that to your giftee — this set also comes with a guide book (printed on Astier’s own antique typographic press, of course) that tells the epic tales of how these colognes came to be. A foolproof gift for scent lovers and history buffs alike, these travel-sized vials are also great for the globetrotter on your list.

Return Policy

Non-furniture Merchandise
All books, candles, plants and bath products are final sale. All other non-furniture items can be returned for a full refund, as long as they are returned within either 30 days of purchase if bought in store or 30 days after the order was received if bought on our website. We will inspect the returned item(s) and issue a refund to the same credit card used for original purchase. You will receive a confirmation email once we have processed your credit. All shipping charges are non-refundable and will be deducted from your refund.


In-stock Furniture Items

We accept returns of furniture in its original condition when you contact us within 14 days of receiving your item. To receive a full refund, call us at 800.472.1885 or email us at returns@jaysonhome.com. We will arrange to have the item(s) picked up by a local freight company, who will contact you to coordinate pick up. Once returned to our warehouse, we will inspect your item(s) and issue a refund accordingly. Damage or other conditional issues may require deductions from your refund. Closeout Merchandise

Closeout items purchased on our website can be returned for store credit only, as long as we receive your item(s) within 30 days of the original delivery.
